What is sex.scoop and who are we
The Scoop.Sex Channel
Hi and Welcome to sex.scoop. We are Dr Michelle Mars and Blair Bishop and we are here because we love talking about that ever controversial subject SEX. We’re really excited to be here and we’re looking forward to blogging about the ever unfolding sexual landscape.
Sex is everywhere, we see it in text and images all the time but we hardly ever scratch below the surface. Blair and I are here to do a little scratching with you. Sex is not stupid! Just because it can be fun and frivolous it doesn’t mean we can’t think about it deeply and that’s what we are going to do here.

In this blog we are going to look at all things sexual and sexy. We are going to look at the art and style of sex as well as politics and policy around topical issues. We are interested in identity, fashion, culture, books and much more.
New Zealand is starting to take sex more seriously. We want to know more about sex.
If there is one thing that spending years as an academic working in a University taught me it’s that there is a lot more to know about achieving well being, pleasure and respect when it comes to sex. People have been fascinated by the subject for centuries. The amount information we have access to is endless. You could spend your whole life reading about sex and there would still be more to find out. I think sex is endlessly fascinating!

Michelle is a sexologist. She founded Sassi-Inc with Blair Bishop in December 2008 to enlighten and enrich the Kiwi sexual experience. “I say, lets talk about sex. Let’s get it out there on the table and let’s start having much more fun”.
Blair is a mental health clinician specialising in sex, drugs alcohol and youth. Blair has built up a real-world understanding of sex and sexuality and the skills to make people more confident, happier from, and better at sex.
Feedback is welcome and should be sent to to sex@scoop.co.nz
